March 28th has come and gone and the scheduled riot did not take place. I have heard that the police force was prepared for any demonstrations so the textile workers are waiting for a time to demonstrate when the police are more lax about security. Please pray that the government will work with the workers for honest wages. Right now the workers are being paid the equivalent of $30 a week. Thank you for the prayers, notes and encouragements you are sending my way. How I appreciate the many prayers you are lifting heavenward for me and the people here. I have had the opportunity of going out to the bush twice the last two weeks with the traveling clinic. I was given the responsibility of taking blood pressures which kept me busy all day on Wednesday. It was quite tiring as I left the house at 8 am and got home again after 10:30 pm. It is hard to believe that there are only five more weeks of ministry for me in this country. I love this place, and although i miss my family, it is going to be hard to say good-bye to these wonderful people who I have come to love so much. Thank you all again for your interest, support, prayers and love that I have felt from you over the past months.
P.S. We are planning a huge carnival at one of the Care Points this Saturday with Face painting, Jumping castle, Water slide, pray for open hearts as we also hope to share the good news of Jesus Christ with these needy children.
