I was born 18 years ago in San José, Costa Rica, where my parents were missionaries. I believe that it is the most gorgeous place in the world. Three years later we moved back to the states where my family eventually settled in Kentucky. For the past eleven years I have lived in the Southeastern region of this state in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains.
I have a wonderful family, with two great parents, two sisters and three brothers. I am the second oldest. The most important event in my life occurred in the summer of 1997. I grew up in a Christian family and for as long as I can remember I have been taught the Bible. I knew almost all the Bible stories, I knew about Jesus and how He died on the cross for the sins of the world, and I knew that I was I sinner, and since I knew all this I thought that I was saved. That summer at Camp Nathanael I finally realized that my head knowledge was not going to save me. I needed to make a heart decision, a decision to believe in Jesus Chris t as my personal Saviour and live the rest of my life for him.
Most of my life I have been home schooled. And during the summers I work at Camp Nathanael. Camp is always the highlight of my year. I think I actually enjoy just working there more than being a camper, although that is great. I have been a DRG(dinning room girl), potty patrol officer, team leader, lifeguard and counselor. Other than being at camp I love being with my family, hanging out with friends and going to La Pena, horses and horse back riding, sports-mainly volleyball, football, and soccer, Goodwill and thrift store shopping, swimming, reading good books like:
Pride and Prejudice, The Scarlet Pimpernel
and the
Bible,
just to name a few.
