Wow! I'm heading back to Africa after a whirlwind 3 week stay with my family and friends. It's gone by too quickly and it's time to head back whether I'm ready or not. I think I'm ready, but it's hard to leave everything I have and love here. (Maybe a little taste of what it was like for Jesus to come to earth as a baby) I'm excited, yet nervous, about my new ministry in Swaziland. I'm excited because the plan is for me to do hands on care for young kids who come to the Care Points around where we are living in Swaziland. These are kids that have no one to care for them in the daytime, either they are orphaned and/or can't afford school or food! My ministry is to show God's love for them by caring for their physical needs by teaching them hygiene and helping them with minor ailments like skin lice, worms, rashes, cuts etc.. I'm nervous because I'm not sure how everything will come together for this ministry to actually happen. Pray that the details for doing this will come together! I'm writing this at the Lexington airport and will board my first flight in a few minutes so you can pray for safety as I travel over the next 30 hours. Thank you all for your prayers and support!
